Our first Hartman Original creation .. an eight drawer dresser made of cherry, maple, and poplar.

Cherry (for the drawer fronts and handles), maple (drawer boxes) and poplar (framing slats).

The prototype for a dresser we’re going to make. Imagine it much bigger, with drawers.

Assembled “skeleton” of the dresser.  Important that the overall exterior and interior dimensions are perfectly square in order to accept drawer boxes.

Dry-fitting the drawer box shelves to ensure proper and square alignment.

Gluing together the internal drawer box shelves.

Face frame completed and aligned on top of the dresser shelving infrastructure.

Gluing the face frame on to the dresser infrastructure.

Drawer boxes (dovetailed all four sides) completed.
